LexisNexis Academic  

(Available to colleges and universities only; not available to law libraries)

Now including Country Analysis and Company Dossier, this service provides full-text documents from over 9,000 news, business, legal, medical, and reference publications with a variety of flexible search options. The 5,900 sources include:
  • National and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English language sources
  • U.S. Federal and state case law, codes, regulations, legal news, law reviews, and international legal information
  • Shepard's® Citations for all U.S. Supreme Court cases back to 1789

LexisNexis Congressional  

This module includes the complete CIS/Index to Publications of the U.S. Congress, with abstracts and indexing to all Congressional publications since 1970. Detailed digital access to the full text of Congressional publications, including:

LexisNexis Primary Sources in U.S. History lets both advanced scholars and beginning students carry out comprehensive research from a range of sources. Included are broad selections of primary manuscripts, speeches, comprehensive collections of full-text legislation and judicial rulings, as well as essential government documents, a large archive of photographic images, complete classic autobiographies, convenient reference information, and a carefully selected anthology of hundreds of seminal scholarly articles.

Specifically designed to provide high school students with Web-based, desktop access to authoritative research sources, LexisNexis Scholastic Edition is the "younger sibling" of the LexisNexis Academic service, accessible to nearly seven million students and faculty members at more than 1,600 colleges and universities in the U.S.

LexisNexis Scholastic Edition gives students experience searching for vital source material-including articles from major U.S. and international newspapers, non-English language publications, statistics, and Federal and state case law, codes and legislation-using the kind of technology they will invariably encounter as they progress to a college or university. LexisNexis Statistical Insight  

LexisNexis Statistical Insight brings together statistical data from hundreds of public domain and licensed sources and makes them searchable through one easy-to-use interface. It gives you full bibliographic control of statistical data produced by the U.S. government; important international intergovernmental organizations; and knowledgeable professional and trade organizations, business organizations, commercial publishers, independent research organizations, state government agencies, and universities including:
  • all statistics issued by the U.S. government back to 1973 through CIS' American Statistics Index
  • some 1,000 of the best statistical publications of private and state government sources from 1980 forward through CIS' Statistical Reference Inde
  • approximately 2,000 indispensable titles from some 100 international intergovernmental organizations, all published annually since 1983 through CIS' Index to International Statistics
  • search results can be filtered using facets (for example, by state or by country), source, publication date, or subject. Institutions can subscribe to the entire collection or to selected modules.

  • Provides line-item access to over 1,000,000 individually indexed tables selected from the major statistical compilations and special studies issued by the federal government, private research firms, state governments, and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).
  • Up to 130,000 new tables are added yearly.
  • All tables are available as images.
  • Since 2006, all tables have been available in both image and Excel formats.

LexisNexis Statistical Abstracts & Indexes Web Service - American Statistics Index (ASI)
(Requires subscription to LexisNexis Statistical Insight)
  • ASI abstracts and indexes federal statistical publications; available materials date from 1973 forward.
  • As the largest research organization in the world, the U.S. government is the best source for data on almost any topic, including demography, crime, economics, health, education, international trade, labor, energy, and the environment.

LexisNexis Statistical Abstracts & Indexes Web Service - Statistical Reference Index (SRI)

  • SRI abstracts and indexes significant statistical publications of state and private sector sources in the U.S. dating from 1980 forward.
  • These sources include professional and trade associations, business organizations, commercial publishers, independent research organizations, state governments, and universities.

LexisNexis Statistical Abstracts & Indexes Web Service - Index to International Statistics (IIS)
(Requires subscription to LexisNexis Statistical Insight)
  • IIS abstracts and indexes key statistical titles from international intergovernmental organizations dating from 1983 forward.
  • Among these organizations are the United Nations, the European Union, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the World Bank and other development banks.
  • Full text documents are available from 2007 forward.

Statistical DataSets
  • LexisNexis Statistical DataSets is a Web-based research solutions tool that provides fast and easy access to more than 16 billion data points from licensed and public domain datasets within an easy-to-use interface The product is completely interactive and results are instantaneous. Each time a user clicks on a new element, the elements that are shown in the display area are updated, and a new table, chart, and/or map appear.

Statistical DataSets - China Data
  • This is a supplemental collection that members can subscribe to with the Statistical DataSets product, or add-on to their existing DataSets subscription. The addition of China Data adds sub-national data by Chinese province, county, and municipality to the DataSets product.

EASI Market Planner
  • Allows users to develop model-based indicators of demographic characteristics, consumer spending and behavior patterns for a wide range of geographic regions.
  • Interactive tools that allow mapping, graphing, analyzing data on consumer demographics, usage/ spending patterns for products and services, and more allow students and as well as seasoned researchers to tailor the results to fit their specific needs
